Autobiography

Dr. Petar Rouev graduated in medicine at the Medical Faculty, Thracian University of Stara Zagora, in 1993, after which he specialized in ENT diseases in Stara Zagora, Sofia, Würzburg, Bochum, Tübingen, Fulda, Graz, Salzburg, Zürich, Izmir, Alexandria, Milan, Colombiers, Mechelen, Zagreb, Stuttgart, Toulouse, Utrecht, Napoli, Paris and others. He has over 25 years of experience in all areas of otorhinolaryngology, especially in the field of otosurgery with participation in numerous scientific forums in Bulgaria and abroad. He has an additional specialty in oncology and health management.

Dr. Petar Rouev is a Doctor of Otorhinolaryngology with a dissertation defended in 2003 on a topic in the field of audiology, and for the first time in 2001 he introduced and conducted neonatal hearing screening in Bulgaria. He is the founder in 2013 of the first out-of-capital center for cochlear implantation.

He is the author and co-author of over 60 scientific publications in Bulgarian and foreign journals, as well as the organizer of over 10 operative courses in the field of otosurgery and in the field of plastic and reconstructive head and neck surgery.

Dr. Petar Rouev is an active member of the Bulgarian National Association of Otorhinolaryngology, incl. and a corresponding member of the German Society for ENT Diseases, Head and Neck Surgery.
